Students who do not fulfil the English competency requirement are required to sit for the Test
of English Proficiency (TEP) before they can enrol in the English Short Course (ESC) or Intensive
English Programme (IEP). The TEP will be conducted on the second week of the Academic
Calendar at Multimedia Lab III, Level 4, College of Continuing Education (CCEd). The test
results will be used to gauge the students’ level of proficiency, and students who pass with a
score of B2 (CEFR Level) and above are exempt from the English Short Course (ESC) or to filter
candidates to which level of the Intensive English Programme (IEP).
