At UNITEN, pushing the boundaries of knowledge and possibility is our joyful obsession, and we celebrate fundamental discoveries and practical applications alike.

As educators, we also value research as a potent form of learning by doing.

Research flourishes in our six institutes, five colleges, as well as in UNITEN R&D Sdn Bhd that convene experts across disciplines to explore new intellectual frontiers and attack important societal problems. Our aim is to bring diverse talent to be together tackling on big problems. For instance, the Institute of Sustainable Energy (ISE) promotes participation of a range of faculty and students in its pursuit of sustainable energy at scale. This is fuelled by active research relationships with industry, authority, academia and a wide range of global collaborations.
